The Youtuber stated at the end of the video that the God hypothesis could be verified. He stated, "The theist will have to demonstrate that it is possible for something which exist to cause something which does not exist to begin existing."
This is why the Bible refers to Jesus as the Word.
We can demonstrate clearly that I (being something which exist) can cause something which does not exist (my words) to begin existing.
My words are the result of my mind which then is spoken into reality. As a result, I am able to take something that does not exist in the present (my words) and create something which does exist.
He simply does not know his theology. He should read John 1 as well as Genesis 1. All things came into existence by God's Word.
ZDENNY: his is why the Bible refers to Jesus as the Word. ... My words are the result of my mind which then is spoken into reality. As a result, I am able to take something that does not exist in the present (my words) and create something which does exist. And I thought Jesus was uncreated. The way you're saying it, Jesus is claimed to be the first created "thing", which sounds a lot like "Arianism" to me. So much for the Christian Trinity ;-)
Also, you seem to have missed a large part of the video. Your words are not "created", they'd seem to be a rearrangement of existing things (brain states in you and the listener, changes to the movement of your larynx, changes in air pressure, etc). Nothing seems to be created or destroyed in your example :-)
