Another interesting thing is that historically Muslims are responsible for a paltry amount of death and violence as contrasted with Christianity and atheism. See here.

Yes, I'm sure that's true. After all, Christianity has existed for a longer period of time and has managed to be the dominant religion amongst a vastly larger population than Islam.
I really hate to be making that statement, as I don't want to seem like the stereotypical leftist who deplores Christianity while defending Islam. Nonetheless, Islam does seem to have a better track record than Christianity.
That being said, Islam is still an atrocious religion that the world would be better off without.
