Testing Evolution

This video talks about how scientists are testing evolution: Scientists had hypothesized that two genes were actually modified duplicates of a single ancestral gene. Rather than just speculating, they decided to knock out those two genes and replace it with the hypothesized ancestral gene. And guess what: It worked. The mice used in the experiment are completely functional, although not quite as specialized as ordinary mice.
